James Spencer of Pond Hill Farm & Jane Rye, Former Emmet Conservation District Director
Become a Conservation District Cooperator
The District would like to recognize those people who support and practice outstanding conservation, and at the same time, promote the good work of Michigan’s conservation districts. Emmet County landowners who participate in the cooperator program will receive a District Cooperator sign to display on their property. The Michigan Department of Agriculture developed the sign as a way to recognize individuals for their participation in conservation programs. Emmet County landowners can participate by having a forestry plan, or groundwater plan prepared by a Groundwater Technician, or a Conservation Plan prepared by the Natural Resources Conservation Service Technician and approved by the Emmet Conservation District. If you are proud of how you manage the resources on your property and would like to participate in the Cooperator Program, contact the Emmet Conservation District for more information.
