Participants will learn important fruit tree planting and care tips from Steve Fouch, owner of L&S Nursery and Stan Peterson, owner of Peterson Fruit Trees. Stan is well known for being the guy that helped develop the Honeycrisp apple. It should be a fun and informative workshop! Bring your questions!

APPLE TREES: ***Remember you need two varieties of apple or crabapple within ~100ft. for cross-pollination Choose from: Honeycrisp, Aztec Fuji, Gale Gala, Cortland (heirloom), Northern Spy (heirloom), RubyMac, and Zestar apples. SWEET CHERRY TREES: Benton Sweet Cherry, and Skeena Sweet Cherry (both self-pollinating) TART CHERRY TREES: Montmorency Sour Cherry (self-pollinating) PEAR TREES: Anjou Pear, and Bartlett Pear (both self-pollinating) CRABAPPLE/POLLINATOR TREES: Manchurian Crabapple (for pollinating early to mid-season varieties), and Snowdrift Crabapple (for pollinating mid to late season varieties)
* All apple trees are semi-dwarf (except Zestar, which is a dwarf variety), the Cherries are full size trees, Pears are ~4-5’ tall with 5/8-3/4” diameter stems. Limited quantities available. Orders will be filled on a first-come/first-serve basis. You do not need to attend the workshop to purchase trees. Please note: trees will not be available for pick-up early/before the workshop.
